Workshop: Giving feedback to clients
Workshop Objective
-To provide members with helpful information, resources and training
-To ensure members leave workshop feeling like they have accomplished something
-To demonstrate appropriate behaviour throughout the workshop
Introduction: 15 mins
-Address group norms
-Review the agenda
-Ask member their expectation of the workshop
-Ice breaker: each member share their name, workshop goal and an interesting fact
Pre-Assessment (Activation stage): 45 mins
-Tackle all the questions
-Create a web of questions on the board
-Gather members understanding of the topic
-Share knowledge, information, skills and experience
Participatory or Active Learning (Demonstration stage): 30mins take 15 mins break
-Trainer will demonstrate how to provide effective feedback (ask for volunteer to play client)
-Trainer will ask members to role play with each other
-Trainer will debrief after demonstration and role play
After break continue on for 45 mins
-Trainer will show video clips on effective feedback
-Trainer will discuss video clips
Lunch break: 1hr
Post Assessment (Application): 1hr 30mins
-Trainer will demonstrate role playing again only this time members will be counsellor
-Trainer will encourage members to provide feedback to their peers
-Allow more role playing while trainer is observing, coaching and facilitating
15 mins break
Summary (Integration): 45 mins
-Trainer will wrap-up by summarizing workshop
-Trainer will discuss with members what they have learnt
-Handout survey
-Open floor for any additional questions
-Trainer will ask if there is anything left unexplored
-Closing activity
